Simple Home: Fall Simmer Pot.

Simmer pots are my gem!

Since I work from home, I find that I'm more productive when my environment is wonderfully scented with all natural seasonal goodies. So since we're done with summer (pretty much), here is yet another incredibly soothing simmer pot combination that I've just discovered. Besides my usual go-to mix, this one is quickly becoming my new favourite.

It's made of half grated nutmeg, 5 cinnamon sticks, a dash of pumpkin pie or apple pie spice, a teaspoon of ground cloves (or more if you like), a bit of orange zest and 8 regular black tea bags (opened) - but honestly, you can use more or less of each spice, depending on your mood. To make it, just place all the ingredients into a small sauce pan with 3 cups of water and simmer throughout the day...

Plus, here are six more simmer pot combinations that you might want to try as well:
- the comforting early fall blend
- the classic apple-orange fall potpourri concoction
- the rainy autumn day mix
- the perfect Thanksgiving fusion
- the perfect Christmas combination
- the zesty late summer mixture

Are you ready for autumn? I definitely am:)

P.S: Speaking of autumn transitions...
P.P.S: And those adorable succulent potted pumpkins :)

Happy First day of Autumn!

Cheers to the fall equinox - my favourite of the four seasons:)

As in previous years, for the past couple of days I've been making my autumn list of all the big and tiny rituals I’m looking forward to. Here are a few of mine and please share yours too. Lately, this hot chocolate with red wine has been on my mind, this simmer pot is an autumn essential, those pumpkin lanterns are a must for a balcony, and the 'it' fall uniform I couldn't live without. Swoon!

I'm so looking forward to crispier days of wearing cardigans or snug sweaters, wrapping myself with scarves and bundling up under a blanket while watching telly and eating soup on repeat...

Now, your turn:)

P.S: Remember this cake?
P.P.S: Plus, this immune boosting elixir.

Autumn Beauty Tweak: Apple Scrub

Eek, tomorrow marks the beginning of  my favourite season, and I couldn't be more excited! There is something about the crisp evening air and changing trees that feels right and I'm genuinely ready for sweaters and socks to go on. How about you?

So, in hopes to start the new season with a bang, tonight after I finish all my work, I'm planning to treat myself to Maria's apple sugar scrub. It's super easy to whip up, smells like apple orchard and it's truly fitting for this time of the year.

To make it in a jiffy: mix together 3 tbsp of melted coconut oil with the juice of half a lime, 1 small grated apple and 2.5 cups of sugar. Ta dah!

Go on, treat yourself:)

P.S: And this one works great in those mornings when you are a tad too tired to face the day.
P.P.S: A beautiful GIVEAWAY is coming up later today!
